ShockIT
ShockIT is a company that develops dedicated software and web and mobile applications based on Microsoft technologies such as .NET. They also provide comprehensive services for IT systems – from development to maintenance and overall management of the infrastructure and IT department. The range of services also includes migrations of on-premise solutions to the Azure cloud, focused on security, flexibility and high availability from anywhere.
Currently, the main customers are companies in the insurance, distribution and technology companies implementing ERP software.
LMU campaign goal
Initially, it was to launch an LMU campaign with a guarantee exclusively on LinkedIn, with the main goal of selling Custom Software Development services, i.e. activities aimed at not only producing dedicated software, analyzing requirements, creating documentation, testing tools, and maintaining the client’s systems. Our first target was financial companies in the Benelux countries.
LMU campaign with a guarantee
We launched the LMU campaign at the end of April 2021 and it aired for six months – until September 2021. The target group was companies in the insurance and financial industries.
During the course of the campaign, it became apparent that LinkedIn had imposed global restrictions on the sending of invitations and messages on the site, which did not allow us to effectively run the campaign, the results of which were thus severely compromised. Only a few leads were acquired in May and June.
Despite the difficulties, we decided to fight back and change our outbound activities. We offered the client that we would launch cold – mailing campaigns at no extra charge as part of the service provided. In order to take care of securing the return on investment, which was shaken by the aforementioned circumstances, we additionally decided that we would add Poland to the localization, without changing the target industries.
Effect
We observed the effect of the changes made almost immediately.
Within 6 weeks we made up for the losses and exceeded our target number of leads by almost 50%. Despite the fact that initially the conversion rate was only 0.5% – the corrective actions we took led to an increase in conversions by more than 10 times.
In addition to the leads themselves, ShockIT has established an ongoing long-term partnership with a company for which it is developing a key customer service application. The estimated cost of the project is more than PLN 200,000 net. In addition, Shock IT is in the process of having further conversations with the leads and making further offers to them. Due to the results, the client has decided to extend the cooperation and expand its business in foreign markets.
